Responsibilities of Orthopedic Surgeon

• Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases and injuries related to the musculoskeletal system.
• Prescribe treatment plans for patients with injuries, disorders, or malformations, including performing necessary surgeries.
• Conduct and supervise direct patient care, including non-surgical treatment options.
• Plan and implement disease prevention and health promotion programs.
• Command medical units as per legal and regulatory provisions.
• Conduct medical research on new injuries or diseases and oversee medical education and training for other medical personnel.
• Participate in the on-call schedule, ensuring responsiveness and timely care.
• Provide outpatient and hospital consultation services.
• Maintain Continuing Medical Education (CME) units as the relevant Board requires.
• Document symptoms, medications, and treatment events, and maintain historical records.
• Enhance department and organizational reputation by taking ownership of new and varied requests and seeking opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements

• MS in Orthopaedic Surgery
• Valid state medical license
• Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience as an orthopedic surgeon
